As you know, the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread both in the United States and globally. The County is dedicated to keeping our community safe during this time and we want to make sure our employees know we are here to support you. Some things you can do to help stop the spread of the virus:
Stay home if you feel sick!
Practice good hygiene: wash your hands frequently, for at least 20 seconds, with soap and water. Use hand sanitizer if soap and water is not available. Want to learn all you need to know about handwashing? Go HERE.
Stop handshaking – use other noncontact methods of greeting
Wash your hands when you come into your home or office, and schedule regular hand washing reminders by email
Create habits and reminders to avoid touching your face (especially your eyes, nose and mouth) and be sure to cough/sneeze into your arm rather than your hands.
If you blow your nose, use tissues and dispose of them immediately. Wash your hands.
Disinfect surfaces like doorknobs, tables, desks, and handrails regularly – at home and at the office. Click HERE for some helpful info from the CDC about cleaning and disinfecting.
Practice social distancing: keep 6 feet between you and others
Remember: the best way to prevent illness (in yourself and others) is to avoid being exposed to the virus!
