What is an EAP?
When a problem or issue is negatively affecting you – whether it’s at home, your relationships with coworkers, job performance or satisfaction, or your general well being – help is available from GuidanceResources. This program deals with a broad range of life issues including, but not limited to:

- Substance Abuse
- Dealing with aging parent(s)
- Anger Management
- Legal & Financial Assistance
What are the benefits & costs?
The EAP provides up to 5 free counseling sessions per issue per employee as well as his/her household family members. (If it is determined that you will need to seek ongoing assistance, GuidanceResources will work with you and your Albemarle County health benefits to refer you to an in-network provider, if applicable.)
Is the EAP confidential?
Your privacy is assured. Discussions with an EAP counselor are confidential and protected to the full extent of the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
